I'm evaluating InstallerBuilder 19.5, and I've been impressed so far.
It seems that regardless of whether I set windows64bitMode to 0 or 1, InstallerBuilder writes its built-in registry keys under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node when the installer is run on a 64-bit machine. What's more, I'm unable to read those keys using registryGet - regardless of whether wowMode is set to 32 or 64 (or omitted entirely):
<progressText>Checking for previous installation directory</progressText>
The previous_installdir variable remains empty.
Now if history is any guide, this is somehow my fault. I'm sure to have overlooked something obvious - but after scouring the forums and reviewing Windows Registry in 64bit Systems several times, I can't figure out what that might be. Help?
