    Hi Ashok,

    Does the variable exist before running the installer?

    Could you try running the installer in the following way:

    boardgamesize=123 ./installer.run

    And check if that does work? Could you give more information about the platform and the IB version?

    Regards,

    Michiel

    Hi Michiel,

    I think installbuilder 18.5 linux has bug. It does not resolve the environment variables properly.  When I use this gamepath inside my project to bundle with installer... it does not work.... right before invoking the script i do echo the path... it returns correct path ....so there is no issue of setting environment variable... tried setting both in terminal and /etc/environment.... Could you please look into it with priority? Everything works as expected when I change it to absolute path.

    <stringParameter>
        <name>gamepath</name>
        <description>ROOT path for all games</description>
       <explanation>This path variable will be used to retrieve game path </explanation>
       <value>${env(GAME_SOURCE)}</value>
       <default></default>
       <allowEmptyValue>0</allowEmptyValue>
       <ask>0</ask>
       <width>30</width>
    </stringParameter>

    ....
    ....
    ....
    <distributionFileList>
    <distributionFile>
    <allowWildcards>1</allowWildcards>
    <origin>${gamepath}/boardgame/*</origin>
    </distributionFile>
    </distributionFileList>
    ....

    Regards,

    Ashok

    BitRock support

    Hi Ashok,

    Could you run the installer with the --debugtrace option and send it to support@bitrock.com?

    Best regards,

    Michiel
