    Hi Jason,

    You can use a fileTest rule for that purpose:

     <preInstallationActionList>
    <actionGroup>
    <actionList>
    <showInfo>
    <text>A file is missing, the installer will exit now</text>
    </showInfo>
    <exit/>
    </actionList>
    <ruleList>
    <fileExists>
    <path>/path/to/file</path>
    <negate>1</negate>
    </fileExists>
    </ruleList>
    </actionGroup>
    </preInstallationActionList>

    Best regards,

    Michiel

    Hi,

    You can find several sample snippets for this in our documentation, for example:

    https://clients.bitrock.com/installbuilder/docs/installbuilder-userguide.html#_file_exists

    I'm afraid without more information there is not much we can do to help with this. Could you please share the XML snippet that is not working for you?
