Part of my install requires a symlink that links to our libraries so that our service can find them. The symlink must be placed in C:\Windows\System32
How do I get this to happen with the installer? I've tried this:
Which didn't work. I then tried to have the installer just make the system call:
<programArguments>/D %WinDir%\System32\plugins C:\epic\bin</programArguments>
This didn't work, it just made the installer hang when it got to this.
I then wrote a script to do this. The script automatically requests admin, and then creates the symlink. This works when I run it manually, just double clicking. But if I try to run it from the installer, I get the error that the symlink already exists - but it doesn't because I can manually run the script right after the installer and it runs fine and makes the symlink.
How do I make a symlink with Installbuilder?
