So I am running the installer as root. The installed files are owned by a new user using the installers user/groups properties. When I run this, the files in /usr/bin get installed as that user/group which is fine (well, I would prefer to have an option to override that in the installer, but I can chown this). However, I noticed that the /usr/bin folder is also chown'ed to my new user, which is unexpected.
On a side note, is there a a way to get the group of the user running the installer like I can get the user id?
